Pretty much. Most women are attracted to violent men to some extent (hybristophilia) and will intentionally provoke violence for the feels and victim points.

Be careful not to project as well. Females can only gain the means to affect change via their influence on others' actions; thus, an individual who is capable of causing harm communicates this power well.
Bear-in-mind too that all of this is emotional: Females do not consciously think, "He is mean and dangerous. I'm going to have his babies!" They just feel aroused by males that demonstrate the marks of power; it is a biological influence.
