Whenever a "former leftist" or "moderate liberal" comes to those of us further to the right begging to help stop those further left on the spectrum from destroying, the proper response is not to immediately accept them as they are with their current politics and all. Rather, they need to be ready to make concessions in their ideology/politics/worldview. It was their politics that lead to this point, so they need to abandon those stances.

Yes but you can help them a little bit at a time without saying they are your enemy unless they change everything all at once
However you should not let them trick you into thinking they changed enough so that they can trick you into being OK with most of their nonsense because they changed on one small thing
You should also not fall for the trick where they try to get you to change your correct worldview in exchange for them making a small change in their incorrect worldview
