@shortstories I agree that any success achieved is in spite of any exogenous phenomenon Not because of it.
However, is it fair to claim that it is because of the US alone thar Japan and Korea have only thrived because of US foreign direct investment?

It is primarily because they imported a alternative worldview

North Korea and China got it's worldview imparted from "communist" Russia

Japan and South Korea got it's worldview imparted from "Christian" "Capitalist" United States

Confucianism is about putting your elders before morality

Christianity is about putting morality before your elders

Whether or not the historical and theological claims of Christianity are true it is a better foundation

@sardonicsmile

Korean is also a better language than Chinese because it has a alphabet that allows a more easy dictionary & less characters to put into computer programs involving writing making it better for technological progress

But that is not enough to explain the difference because both South & North Korea have the same alphabet

But the south Korean language influences people to commit suicide because there are a lot of suicide based phrases in it's grammar or figures of speech

@sardonicsmile @shortstories I'd say more or less the skilled trades, and manufacturers that taught Japan and Korea lots of foundational things to run with. Investment helped, but they ran with all the industrial knowledge they got making leaps and bounds forwards.
