These games can be downloaded for free on the internet I think
These games had intellectual property laws to prevent piracy
Is there any legal protection involved in purchasing these games from websites
Maybe STEAM and GOG or good old games sell old computer games
A lot of people on let's play I think mention purchasing games from GOG
Does that give them any legal protection
Do these platforms have license to sell?

Ironically only pirates own their games and their content. All the paid cattle are getting their "online" games confiscated lmao.
@shortstories abandonware isn't legal but it's not enforced which means the same thing.
