For months now, I've not touched video games though I used to be an avid gamer and modder, but since I've been meeting creative goals, the thought of playing even some of my old favorites seems pointless.

This actually started with modding. After I wrote mods, gaming just wasn't as much fun. Since then I've experienced what it's like to make musical, literary, and physical works.

Interactive and consumptive media do little for me anymore with the exception of music and some audiobooks.

It is strange to want to relax, but not be able to in the way I used to do so. I'll do some contemplation and see what happens.

I will say this about creative endeavors: when you're not creating something, you feel stagnant. Life is so vibrant and integrated when the muse is upon you.

@DoubleD

Good for you. I've also been trying to find new ways to scratch the creative itch.

@DoubleD True I most of the time just watch someone play so I can read and do more productive things.

Most game after 15-30min become so repetitive with the gameplay and become boring

I too found myself being held by games. When I can do and learn more things

@DoubleD I don't game nearly as much as I used to, either. There's so much cool stuff to do in the world I only jump on games when I can't do anything else.
