@Gonzo17 it perfectly reflects human societies. any group of people that grows too large becomes dysfunctional and can be kept going only by force. this is why you have to gate-keep things. whether it is a neighbourhood, a a whole country or online forum... you cannot let in about anyone who wishes to join. it just does not work in the long run.
@Gonzo17 every online community that grows too big becomes shit. this was the case with online forums, youtube, facebook, instagram, quora, twitch, tumblr, reddit, myspace..
@Gonzo17 only degenerates with no life of their own and normies use twitter. if you are not using twitter solely for a business promotion and social media presence, you are a retard and fuck you.
mercedes stands out though. it has other issues but that is one brand i can clearly see is sticking to a traditional design.
i think i figured out why all european cars became so ugly on the inside and on the outside. i think the designs are made by a computer. they are finalized by humans but the core is designed by a machine. it makes total sense when i look at the lines and shapes of every part on the outside and in the interior. they are simply inhumane, emotionless and inorganic. in other words - ugly. there is no passion, no humanity, no soul. on the contrary, it is a soul-crushing, cold, purposeful design.
@Zeb @RoninGrey because it is cost prohibitive. like TFM says, pain of inaction must be greater than pain of action. and people can take A LOT before the finding out commences. often consequences of standing up against evil are just too high. we could have nice things, sure, but they don't come cheap.
@Wopu you will always have better chance of landing a job in a smaller company rather than a big one. salary will be smaller but working in large corporations is a thing of its own.
@MaleGoddess @Wopu pro tip - if you are applying to a job where there are more than dozen of candidates, find a niche to limit competition. this is why i never had issues with finding work. i used to do Drupal-based projects so i had big advantage. smaller job/gig market but higher pay and low competition. i cannot imagine doing some mass tech like js frontend, php symfony and whatnot. i always did personal projects so i had the knowledge but one has to be smart about work.
@37712 @ButtWorldsMan iirc ozempic has been in use for ages. the only big thing about it is that it has been approved as weight loss drug. but before that i think it was used for diabetes or something like that. so it's not like they made the thing in the 5 minutes before putting it on the shelves at the stores.
@Wopu you don't need a job in order to learn and not be considered a junior dev. 100% of my skill came from things i did for my self on my own time. Work stuff was just some noise i had to do to pay the bills. If you're not doing and learning things outside of your job, you chose a really bad career path and should reconsider your life choices.
Because you still have hope that this war will end with your honor intact. Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls, and ask the ghosts if honor matters. The silence is your answer.
