I guess what they meant was "be fake and pick up feminine hobbies to meet women", but nowadays that's called being a sexual predator. So the real gf was the hobbies we got along the way.
@Mongoliaboo @ButtWorldsMan Indeed, it was. Hobbies that you love are more efficient than girlfriends in the context of providing a fulfilling use of your money and time, in my opinion.
Incidentally, have you noticed that wives are nearly always jealous or at least resentful of their husband's hobbies?
