For all those complaining about car centered design in the US, the root cause of it is the avoidance of niggers. No one wants to take public transit or live downtown if it's full of niggers. Fix that before you start hating on parking lots, suburban sprawl, and highway expansion.

@Justicar Luckily, no. Was going to move some old files from Windows to Arch, but saw the windows partition as bitlocker even though I disabled that years ago. Some update turned it back on and now I've got to wait for however long it takes shitty Windows to decrypt 2TB of shit.

FDE for desktops is almost unjustifiable for the normie user. Laptops make slightly more sense, but you're realistically more likely to have a hardware failure that loses all your data than going to have identity theft thwarted by FDE if someone steals your laptop.

Also, fuck secure boot.
