so am into the republic of plato, and am just here, in the middle of few old men, having a conversation, and am like, WHAT?
why most we go into deep thought, into pointless topics? should an honest man be treated like shit, should a dishonest man be treated good?
i know there has to be a deeper meaning to it but, why?
@RodrickSage - Perhaps the question is rhetorical... but I'll give a literal answer as to why I spend energy pondering such things:
I'm anticipating societal collapse. There's really no such thing as clean slate when building a society (as in video games - which I enjoy), but rebuilding in the aftermath of collapse is as close as humanity ever gets, to a fresh start. And when the task of rebuilding falls upon our shoulders, it's worth taking the time and effort, to rebuild for the ages.
@YoMomz agreed, people think that, if a great catastrophe happens, we will be send back to the stone age,
And am like, " nah bro, at best, we will go back to either the 19th century, civilization will still be around, just some broken buildings and no power, and even the power part is going to be self-made cuz, in my local area, we let gravity feed us water, so the government had a great idea, to make it electric, let power feed us water... WHAT A WAY TO WASTE ENERGY!!
