The H1B program only exists to bring in cheap labor on work visas. It has nothing to do with "the best and brightest" immigrating to America. H1B was created in 1990 to allow corporations to import cheap 3rd work labor and replace American workers. This was openly known and uncontroversial until this week when "the Right" suddenly became pro H1B due to Elon Musk.

They're gaslighting you and they think you're stupid and will side with them because they are on "your side" (i.e. MAGA) Tribalism.

@Tfmonkey I wouldn't exactly say it was uncontroversial, to be fair, it's just that no one disputed that was it's use.
@Tfmonkey Glad I already think I am stupid, and will just say such stuff anyway.

@Tfmonkey the world work labor is already here. they just need to give them visas.

@Tfmonkey Am I wrong in thinking they're intentionally conflating H1B and O1 visas in the sales pitch?

@SuhDude yes, you are correct. They're defending H1B (importing cheap labor) by claiming that they're importing "the best and brightest".

Elon is also banning accounts that call him out on his bullshit. What a douche.

@Tfmonkey @SuhDude Elon Musk, Peter Thiel and the rest of the Pay Pal Mafia and Tech Bro Billionaires were never America First or Libertarian and Vivek is a grifter groomed by Jews from his days at Goldman Sachs, they possibly have photos of him eating goat shit for frat boy parties at Yale and Harvard dressed as a school girl ,to think this shit skin gives a fuck about anything besides making money with his India/Jew connections of America and cheap labor from India

@Tfmonkey @SuhDude Pretty serendipitous that elon goes on a deplatforming and banning spree right as you finally create your new twitter account lol

On H1B visas, fully agree. Work/H1B/talent visas are just excuses to lower wages and fuck the local workers - there are no benefits. Talent and positive entrepreneurs don't need anything other than freedom to innovate and the respect of private property so they can keep their rewards anyway.

The only way an H1B system could ever work is if it was explicitly and dramatically more expensive to use than hiring a worker domestically. That expense should increase over time as well, and all employment details (pay rate/comps/benefits/etc) should be public record. Probably should always including paying for housing and living expenses while in the US, which is normal for contractors.
