John Vervaeke that has a series of videos called "Awakening from the Meaning Crisis" that gave me some strong Marcus-vibes, and I want to recommend it.

I'm not through the whole series. Only about the first 10 out of 40+ but I've been impressed so far, and since I talk a lot about meaning and purpose, it has been worth my time.

@ForbiddenDreamer It's because they are emptying the prisons. They started in 2020 citing COVID, but they've been emptying the prisons to this day. The crime rate spiked in the 60s after the modern welfare state was established and only massive incarceration of black people stopped the subsequent crime wave, but all of that if being undone because "muh racism", and the results are entirely predictable.
