@Zeb It's difficult to say how much contact he had with Romans but he did heal the centurion's servant, who was a Roman. He called for obedience to the Roman government (give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and stoning of the adulteress), and Pilate didn't want him judged so this "Jesus was a jewish freedom-fighter" angle some peddle is rubbish.

Jesus origin is not a mystery.
The bible itself says he is was a Jew from a traditional jewish family and raised with jewish morals, always dealing within the local jewish economy - he barely had any contact with actual romans.
