@fkq1q2r2 @DaddyO @Richard @RichardJohnson Married with Children is a notable example of the wife is also put in a negative light. No surprise that the show is almost 40 years old.
@deprecated_ii >I NEED VARIETY
This is another indicator of them not being able to cook. When I have good food, I look forward to having it again the next day.
And it does not take 50 hours a week to make food, even if you make a new meal each day. It's either a skill issue or these people somehow are trying to attempt recipes that should be reserved for stay at home moms who have a large family to feed.
@DW2 Women are not being told enought that they need to start their husband hunting MUCH EARLIER than they think. And those that do tell them this get dismissed, since every other voice telling them to girlboss it up and "not rush things" with settling down.
They should be starting in their early 20s. Yes, this will mean they will not have time to have a ho phase, but that is exactly the point. They shouldn't have this at all, it is ruining society.
@Evil_Bender @Shadowman311 @TeaTootler @Will2Power @vic Yes. I would not be surprised if it was something that autofiltered me from even being considered as a prospect for many women. It did not help that I also have Aspergers.
But I did get a happy ending with a wife I am still married to. Perhaps being filtered by all the wrong women was a blessing, looking back.
While I was not of voting age in the early 2000s, I remember the rhetoric of the neocons. "They hate us because of our freedoms! We have to fight them over there so they do not attack us over here!"
When I examine every neocon still around, I find their only pillar of their supposed "conservative" values are building a strong military. Reduce spending and uphold traditional values? Those come last (if at all) when compared to sending soldiers to die in Israel's interests.
Fuck neocons.
I would prefer we not go to war with Iran, but when did any of the preferences of myself or any of the citizens of the United States matter to those in power? I would hate to be someone who enlisted recently in the military, as they have legitimate chances of being deployed. That most likely will not cause a big shake up.
What would cause that is if our government is stupid enough to start a draft for this war. The young fighting age men just might fight an enemy closer to home than Iran.
@sardonicsmile the numbers also change depending on how many children are in a household. 100k a year does not go neatly as far when you have to provide for children.
This is not a reason to not have children, but it should make you consider your choices if you do want them.
@deprecated_ii but without fence sitters, who would we have ready and waiting to support the winner who comes out on top? When you don't need their support the most, they are always there ready to give their full backing when they have nothing to sacrifice.
If we have WWIII in the near future with the talk of "Iran is close to having nukes" (again), I bet that all the talking heads shilling for globohomo will equate Iran to Italy, as it is the "weak link" of the alliance of Russia-China-Iran.
But with all the poor handling of the American hegemonic empire, I don't think "the good guys" (the USA and its allies) will be winning. In fact, those writing the history later may be labeling the other side as "the good guys."
We shall see.
@Furgar >I've had my fun in the past now it's time for me to settle down and build
This is the opposite of a selling point. She wants some unfortunate guy to give her a soft landing after catapulting herself to her current state of life. I would be insulted if I was considered a choice for her now, since it would indicate that I was not someone she wanted in her "fun" phase.
@jeffcliff I would argue the misuse of the word "vaccine" has caused more distrust in vaccines than anything done by RFK Jr. They changed the the definitions of vaccines and vaccination to include the mRNA shots as "vaccines" since it could not be considered a vaccine by the definition of the word.
Maybe they should figure out that shooting themselves in the foot caused a lot more bleeding than the guy who stepped on their foot did.
@ILoveAmericaNews anyone citing past immigration policies where the US had no welfare state is just being disingenuous or stupid. People came here for "a better life," but there was also a chance that they failed and did not get what they were wanting. That is one aspect that shows that many people do not truly value freedom, because freedom includes the possibility of failure. "Freedom" for too many people is interpreted as having all their needs provided for them.
Looks like this will be my new home. Warning: I (probably) have Asperger's, so my be prepared for my autism to show through.
I don't think I am a right wing extremist, but I am sure anyone with low testosterone might think otherwise.
