The news flavour of the month for the western world going into May seems to be "small businesses are all struggling and there's gonna be a tsunami of closures". All the subhuman journalist scum have received their bugman firmware update.

For the record, there is NO shortage of government spending and cash being thrown around for advisory services and the kind of work that only big multinationals and finance players can catch. There is so much money flying around in government right now that its easier to get a white collar government job in most cities than it is to get a job serving coffee.

But the journalists reporting on the small business closures are just flat out refusing to acknowledge that four years of insane government monetary policy, working class abuse, rampant inflation and completely unjustifiable immigration levels has had anything to do with it.

You can scroll back on some byline bandit's article history and they'll have published multiple articles about inflation woes, or the fallout from the lockdown era of covid, or how immigration is straining your health system, but they'll only ever make a passing reference to these, if at all. To them, they are tangential issues distracting from the Current Thing of small business struggles, and they'll blame it entirely on "unsustainable costs of living" as if that's a cause, not a symptom. They expect you to suffer temporary amnesia when they write about the sort of thing we predicted YEARS in advance, and belittle you when you try to tell them I TOLD YOU SO. "Things just happen bro, not EVERYTHING has to be connected. You realise that's conspiracy theorist coded, right?"
