@zerosum Same here. Thing is: I've always lived beneath my means, saved consistently and tried to set myself up to.buy assets. I don't have a family to accumulate wealth for though, so might as well stay liquid and under the radar. Life is funny like that...

@sardonicsmile the numbers also change depending on how many children are in a household. 100k a year does not go neatly as far when you have to provide for children.
This is not a reason to not have children, but it should make you consider your choices if you do want them.

Actually I think this should be a disqualification for having kids. If a man cannot completely financially support his children then he should be disqualified. Also females should be able to provide credentials on home remedies, nutrition, and general aptitude and genetics to give birth.
