@RodrickSage

How can they keep you from quitting

You can just not show up

If they said you told me you are quitting but they said you still have to show up then you already notified them that you quit

It mighy be possible for a "notary public" to confirm you sent them a document saying that you are quitting if they sign the document and mail it for you

Sending a email informing them you quit is also evidence you told them you quit

The email is time stamped and can be forwarded as proof

@shortstories @RodrickSage Exactly send email so you have proof for legal actions maybe can win some money either they give you results or you quit. either way time to seek new job maybe file for uneplyoment do not know how it works in US

@Stahesh @RodrickSage

If you can move to Mexico without being arrested and assume a new identity without breaking the law

Then this might be the legally safest thing to do

Who knows you show up to work and they might have police to arrest you

You do not show up and they might send them to your house, apartment, mailing address or living space saying you threatened to commit some crime and shoot or arrest you for some false claim

You can not get unemployment if you quit in America?

I think you have to be fired and you can not be fired for breaking the law or corporate policies in order to collect unemployment

Maybe I am wrong

It might be worth it to hire a lawyer

As long as the lawyer does not betray you and side with the government

"If you quit a job without good cause, you may not qualify for unemployment benefits."

"Even employees who quit their jobs may be able to collect unemployment, but that depends on their reasons for leaving. In every state, an employee who voluntarily quits a job without good cause is not eligible for unemployment. But state laws vary as to how they define "good cause."
