@Engineer These so-called Christians need to read more of their Bible. For example, Luke 3:7-10 and Galatians 3:7-9
These verses clearly contradict that Jews are special and above all others, as Jesus created a new covenent that replaced the old covenent.
@houseoftolstoy Enough copium, John 4:22
The bible has so many contradictory edicts and texts. Its incoherent and schizophrenic because its self contradictory on so many levels.
@Engineer How about you read the lines before and after John 4:22 to get the surrounding context?
"Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him."
"salvation is from the Jews"
salvation is from the Judeans
Jesus was a Palestinian Judean but not an Ashkenazi Jew nor a Sephardic Jew
Salvation is from Jesus who was a Judean or "of the Jews" according to almost all Christian Denominations they might quote something like
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
https://biblehub.com/acts/4-12.htm
This is not pro-Israel but anti Ashkenazi Israel
Paul explained the purpose of Judeans and how they relate to salvation by having the message of the old testament prophets to hand down to Gentiles and other Judeans in Romans 3:2
"Much in every way! First of all, the Jews have been entrusted with the very words of God."
https://biblehub.com/romans/3-2.htm
Salvation came from the Judeans because they brought the message of the old testament prophets
Salvation did not come from the Ashkenazi Jews who were from USSR & Europe
@shortstories @houseoftolstoy This is all copium. Peace and love and slave morality is not good. I prefer strength, discipline, glory, blood, and might.
Also it had to do with which temple is the correct temple regarding your question about John 4 according to a lot of theologians
They believed the Samaritans worshipped at a different Temple than the Judeans
And that at the time the Judean temple was the proper temple to worship at in terms of physical rituals but tthe temple rituals were to be removed in 70 AD in fullfillment of Jesus words about the destruction of the temple he mentioned would happen in Mark 13
