I'm back from the rheumatologist. I was prescribed Methotrexate, which is an immune suppressant which works on over half of patients with my kind of rheumatoid arthritis. It's the drug they give people who receive a donor organ to keep their immune system form attacking the organ.

If I get sick, I just stop taking it until I get over it. I take some pills once per week.

They said it won't work immediately as my immune system isn't a light switch. Hoping the pain ends soon.

I also have to start taking a Folic Acid supplement, which is usually taken by women, but it's because the drugs use up my folic acid, so I have to start taking it. I was prescribed a folic acid pill that's 1 mg, but you can buy vitamins at Walmart of 0.8mg so you don't NEED a prescription. It's just folic acid.

Also, my diet is fine. rheumatoid arthritis isn't caused by diet or lifestyle. My immune system is overactive, so I'm just so healthy that my immune system got bored and attacked me. /2

When the economy collapses how will you get your medicine?

It would be good if you can make a plan so you will still have a supply when the economy collapses

I do not know if that is possible because they might outlaw buying extra ahead of time through prescription laws

@shortstories Yeah, this is something I am not going to be able to prepare for. If society collapses, I'll be on borrowed time.

You'll have to make it without me.

@Tfmonkey @shortstories Magnolia Bark can be made into a tincture that relieves symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis you just have to move to the South where it is plentiful
