Why are Indians in Canada if they can not handle the cold?

@Sovereign
You're the Nazi. No, you're the Nazi.. is so tiring.

I hope someday, after being called a Nazi, spokespeople will retort with some of the wonderful things the National Socialists in Germany did.

I've been reflecting a lot on the accident (that's pretty natural given I could have been killed). The only emotion I recall feeling during the whole experience was gratitude, not fear. I was/am grateful I came out alive and unscathed.

@MaleGoddess

Are you saying ideological internationalists should only be legally allowed to exist in international waters as a matter of national policy?

North Korea experiences more economic growth because they are better at using fraud to steal resources from people outside of North Korea

Ultimately the givernments recognised as legitimate by the United Nations get their economilc growth through committing fraud against the working class and not by providing voluntary goods or services

north korea has been experiencing some of the largest economic growth year over year for a while, far better than the south koreans, japs or americans

Conference talk on how desktop user interfaces have stagnated over the years.

Very Linux user in comments: Ubuntu isn't everything. In other distros we have anime girls as default wallpapers - nobody else does that.

I'm confused... are anime girls user interfaces?

@dotstdy @glyph I agree that's super frustrating, it frustrates me regularly. However in this *one* case, gnome's "security" did in fact catch a program doing something it shouldn't (reading the clipboard in the background, a thing I didn't agree to).

BitWarden didn't ask if I wanted them managing my clipboard, they just decided they would, and GNOME didn't ask if I wanted BW managing my clipboard, GNOME just decided no one can. Two projects fight over control of my computer; I am irrelevant.

@glyph @mcc Yeah, I think any approach like that would be *extremely* hard to get through because of the way Gnome in particular thinks about non-gnome applications. Since it would as well require revealing information about other applications to a spooky third party. There's this tension where like, gnome wants to say "no you're not allowed to use any third party replacements for gnome applications, which are privileged". The one I always get annoyed by is screenshots, but it's broadly a PITA.

What if many of the people who own the largest percent of shares in the oil companies profit off people believing that Carbon Dioxide Emmissions cause Climate Change
