Dividing people up by "generations" makes no sense to me.

Most of the people who I relate most to both online and in person are WAY older than me.

Values, Interests, Goals >>>>>> Year you were born.

@basedbagel Well you have to admit that Boomers AND Baby Boomers fuck up everything beyond repair this are people that wheree born from 1945 to 1960

@VeganMGTOW

That's true but they were just the 1st generation big enough to vote themselves free $$.

The nail in the coffin for this society was women's suffrage.

@basedbagel @VeganMGTOW - I think the generation thing is useful as a loose sort of shorthand way to generalize.

But yes, people are often too rigid with it. And the people over the age of 25, who take generational pride in a bureaucratic categorization... 🤔 Well, they're in for tough times as reality continues to defy their expectations. 😅

@YoMomz @VeganMGTOW

Exactly!

People try to look down on younger generations as if it wasn't incumbent on them to instill the right values in them and mold them into good people.

@basedbagel @YoMomz @VeganMGTOW

Using generations as a unit of time has been around since before the bible so that's not going anywhere.

Turns out it's also a useful way to track other metrics - economics, cultural change, birth/death rates etc..

We're only just realizing how important generational coherence is to people's sanity as we watch the rate of technological change dissolve those bonds in real time.

The best example is the change in women. It's been absolutely shocking to witness.

@UncleIroh @YoMomz @VeganMGTOW

I see the utility in generational units, my issue is people take it WAY too far.

IMO the change in women was socially engineered by the zionist satanic-pedo elite that's been going on since the 70's.

Technology just added fuel to the fire but the degradation was coming anyway.

I was shocked when I found out the ages of MGTOW guys are all over the place.

" It's been absolutely shocking to witness."

Damn right! Lord help us I still lowkey want a famliy

@basedbagel @YoMomz @VeganMGTOW

To be clear, older generations absolutely have a duty to guide the younger. But the rate of cultural change has become so fast, there is even a breakdown of understanding within the same generation.

Multi-generational homes no longer exist. Hell, nuclear families hardly exist. This is an entirely new thing.

But ..what we have here in this community is a great example of how to reverse that. Lots of inter-generational wisdom going on in here.

Similar disconnect is between new generation and older

in school we were taught old ways and not the modern ways

For example repairing old electronics was pretty easy for some big components you could easily replace any basic component.

Compare to now where PCB has so many and small components you really best option is to buy new one than to repair old one.

@UncleIroh @basedbagel @YoMomz @VeganMGTOW Because you would need to spend so much time to check everything and most of the companies do not share technical/electrical drawing

And old boomers call us lazy or stupid because we deal with bigger complexity they can't understand and did not share knowledge with younger generation

Same thing happening to car repairs. Most of the car are overengineered by older generation and new gen have hard time to repair it
