What's something that you thought was normal but in hindsight wasn't?
I always thought family bonding activities were just filler on TV and never happened in real life lol.
Come to find out a decade later not only do people do family bonding activities but they enjoy it?!

I see family as people with different mindsets and only share family bond.
So many people avoid it.
It would be like after work meeting with coworkers you do not enjoy.
Because they do not share your mindset, goals and believes.
Hardly you can talk to them other than work stuff.
So many people do not enjoy it.
Most of the time it is women who love this and men would rather stay at home.

Its the curse of knowledge. The more you improve and get wiser the more unrelatable you become.

Sadly I see many men these days enjoying company get togethers because it's the only time they get a modicum of respect.
I think women like it because they can gossip without having to pretend they're working

Curse of knowledge last time I read wikipedia if I remember correctly is that
You can not predict what someone who does not have your knowledge about something that you have will do or think differently because of their missing knowledge
For example if you are a gem sales person and know the knowledge of a gem's typical sales price in the present market you can not predict what someone without that knowledge will think it is typically sold for
