Some comments about Indians working in the west from my experience in white-collar, highly-technical jobs:

In my experience, those who are competent make up about 25% of the workforce, and I wouldn't know their work from any others' work. They can speak perfect English.

The rest in my experience either must be managed very closely and have their hands held, or are incompetent workers; the hiring company over-sold their skills.

@deprecated_ii "Architected, engineered, and deployed complete, end-to-end software solution"

@Justicar I agree with you. My statement seems to be a generalization of the special case you're addressing.

@Justicar What kind of use?
I was considering the utility of female labor in contrast to male labor yesterday as well. Historically, females in non-elite classes took the division of labor that males left to them by virtue of their constitution being lesser than that of their male counterparts. Wives and daughters were nurses, bookkeepers, cooks, maids not because the males were doing the jobs they couldn't.

@deprecated_ii The fact that females weren't brought up in the previous messages speaks to where the last commenter's thoughts reside.

@Gonzo17 You could create AIs bearing the personality of these figures based upon their writings and actions.I considered doing this for philosophers of the past and then let the AIs debate a topic.

@Justicar His face is perfect. "Could you not be what you are?"

@ButtWorldsMan @37712 @dander The fact that he used bottled water for this instead of just going to the tap speaks volumes to the money he demonstrates he has.

While I do support washing your face every day, I do not support the rest of the thot's morning routine. If she had children she wouldn't have time for such activities.

@YoMomz It certainly helps to be prepared!

@Shadowman311 You could power a city with that turbine's rotational motion.

@Justicar Because they say it is, they have the power, and people are fooled by nice-sounding words

The first, new fruit tree of the season is in. With this and my new berry bushes the year begins again as the starlings and chickadees twitter outside my window.

Remember that no matter how much some political statement or rumor may seem like the end of the world, it isn't. Don't just go outside to touch grass: plant something; nurture it. Bring life into this world. Love this world, and it will bring you joy.

@VD15 Seeing a giant mech roaming around and shooting big guns is really cool, yes, but that's about it. The act of balancing on legs is difficult. It makes sense if in-universe there is some reason to have them such as anti-grav jets don't exist or can't support the size of weapon, but I posit that track vehicles are superior still since they don't have the balance issues and can handle difficult terrain. Even with fusion cores like in Roguetech, you'd still be better off with large tanks.
