AI is actually just being used to mask mass layoffs from a shit economy whilst gaslighting everyone into thinking that everything is fine and dandy and the corporation is doing awesome. Mass layoffs without the panic.

No, you contracted your labor force due to reduced demand and economic cycles. These people would have been laid off anyway, the AI is just an excuse to prevent panic selling the stocks and prevent a market crash.
Every time I hear about dating an AI or chatbot, I just can not shake being reminded of plankton and his computer-wife.
It is an unfortunate but real situation: Chinese technology is basically superior to American technology. Laser welders are esclusively made in China, we can't effectively make them. Metal glass injection molding is exclusive Chinese. Amorpheous iron, too. As is rare earth element refining. These are the long term consequences of outsourcing all manufacturing and industry to China, having come home to roost. Trump cant fix the reality of this situation.

@Tfmonkey Yeah pretty much. I too tend to just do the exact opposite of whatever the government or media says to do. Its worked out well thus far, for whatever its worth. I now question everything from special relativity to oil being "fossil" derived. I even am skeptical of viral pathogens being separate organisms, terrain theory is a possible alternative model. The lesson is learned yet again, its one thing for us to say "question everything" and another to actually follow through!
