@shortstories That is 100 percent correct, it was the Dodge Brothers that sued Ford and their lawsuit created the caselaw for what we now know as "shareholder primacy"
@Tfmonkey Yeah pretty much. I too tend to just do the exact opposite of whatever the government or media says to do. Its worked out well thus far, for whatever its worth. I now question everything from special relativity to oil being "fossil" derived. I even am skeptical of viral pathogens being separate organisms, terrain theory is a possible alternative model. The lesson is learned yet again, its one thing for us to say "question everything" and another to actually follow through!
@Tfmonkey I remember when you were skeptical of the carnivore diet, tried it, and it helped your arthritis. I'm glad you stuck with it and improved your health by doing so.
@Tfmonkey Note that despite the redistribution rate of wealth via taxation has increased by approximately 300 percent since 1962, people are poorer and still want more welfare. This effectively proves that more welfare equals more poverty. Darwinism needs to be allowed to run its course. Eventually it will be.

@dullbananas The Venus Project is genuinely dystopian.
As a reminder, America won WW2 because of its massive industrial base, thats since been gutted. This is why China will win WW3. Because we outsourced everything to save a buck and maximize quarterly profits.

@shortstories @Tfmonkey I just have a sneaking suspicion that the old man isn't lying about the weights.
@Tfmonkey When you talked about farmers beating up the body builders, it reminded me of this guy. Functional strength really is a sleeper build.

@Tfmonkey This is a 45 minute documentary of how America was able to win WW2 because it had the largest industrial base on Earth at the time. Its an analysis of WW2 by the numbers. This is why China will win a protracted conflict. This is why having an industrial base is more important than a military. The ability to make units is more important than having units.
