Seeing folks on X celebrating 35 years of "Seinfeld" - proud to say I never watched it - TV series like this were designed to keep people distracted & dumbed down. Giving them a scripted "shared experience" w/fake friends rather than crafting their own lives. No different really than "Cheers" or "Friends" etc.

"Fahrenheit 451" creeped me out as a teen when Linda tuned in to the TV to be acknowledged.
