@DoubleD @UncleIroh which ide/editor are you using nowadays and for which languages? I used pspad for js and php. Moved to netbeans, then switched to golang and moved to jetbrains goland.
This is what i expect form "ai". People will be able to make AAA movies on a computer. The entire production industry will die, but it will be worth it. THEN i can see an argument for a cinema, where one can go and see the best ones.

@LysanderMooner mostly because we(meaning non-US folk, living in the vast vast world outside of USA borders), do not really care that much. People care only when USA comes in with the guns to take away resources, overthrow governments and kill the people. Beside that, it's just a a very weird bunch of people somewhere on the other side of the globe, that make a lot of movies about how they are the heroes of the human race.
I might start using snake case more in my code from now on... the shift for camel case bites me in the ass 90% of the time due to my mistiming of keystrokes. it started years ago and i make a lot of typos because my hands get out of sync and i switch letters often. it happened one day and it never stopped. snake case in this case is less prone to typos and is more readable as well. though i HATE python. so...
Fuck GNOME. JFC it has been a shitshow for decades and they still cannot make a usable desktop environment.

@UncleIroh my main gripe with vscode/vscodium is that everything is done via that autocomplete input. there are no menus, nothing one can navigate through. so i literally have no idea what there is, where it is, what it does.. also i think it is not even possible to adjust syntax highlighting color scheme and things like that. it was possible in atom before they shut it down.sublime is famous. if you're on apple, that is the way to go.
@UncleIroh KATE is not bad. Reminds me of Netbeans from ages ago. At least on windows. On linux it might look better.
@UncleIroh true but if you read the license, the version you have is a year old. So if you buy license in 2024, keep paying one year(minimum to retain the license), then unsubscribe, the version you have rights to is the one from 2024, not the one from 2025 when you decided to cancel subscription. This is another way they fuck you. Personally, I use maybe 5% of the IDE functionality so I have ZERO reasons to pay. I would use VScode/OpenCode but the UI it crap. I cannot stand it.
I have installed Fedora, SuSE and Mint to VirtualBox today. Fedora looks best but has shit UI and no settings. Mint looks old. SuSE is ok. But I have to say, Linux still looks like shit, UI-wise. Decades upon decades and they still cannot make something usable.
