@sardonicsmile Anyway, the point is that I got the impression from my interactions with them that they were just LOOKING for a reason to not hire a raccoon with facial hair who carried himself confidently and was enthusiastic and welcoming rather than insecure and apologetic. It always took them a week longer than promised to do a single step to get me in there for the interview. They were terrible to deal with. HR was just as shitty as at my previous employer last year. Outright incompetence.
@sardonicsmile But I didn't think I was confused. They basically asked "What do you do for fun, tell me about it" but really meant "Can you complete tasks when you start something?" I only found out when I asked for feedback. If they'd just asked me to tell them about a time when I tried something new and saw it through I would have told them about my prize-winning attempt at building props and a costume from scratch. I even improvised a way to hang / spray since I don't have a workshop.
@sardonicsmile That's great advice. Thank you!
HR is staffed with women, who only want the PERFECT candidate.
Worse, I was once even rejected because I used a comparison, and was told I used the answer to "beat up on my ex." No, I didn't. And you don't even know her. It was an EXAMPLE, and we are friends. They also never asked direct questions, but rather wanted you to answer the question they were THINKING, not the question asked.
I KNEW when I walked in that I was in trouble when I saw the people who were going to be interviewing me.
I fucking called this shit. Too many people were perfectly qualified, nailed interviews, and never heard back. And I keep seeing "urgently hiring" but the same job still available months later. I actually heard someone say that they didn't hire new grads for entry level positions even with degrees in the field because they didn't want to "babysit for 6 months." Well, everyone with experience is already working for your competitors or for you. So WTF do you wanna do?

@KG_Analytical_Dynamics_LLC Show me a chart!
@mmmfeet If law enforcement isn't going to show up to help you (they only either show up afterward to arrest you or make a report), you'd better do it (help) yourself. BTW, this is exactly how LE do it when a firearm threat is brought to THEIR people. Because it's the only intelligent way to protect your life.
Let all criminals see these videos and fear. And let all victims see what happens when they snivel in submission (i.e. that store employee who was shot nonchalantly while fully complying)
@mmmfeet Not going to take a chance that he is still capable of pulling the trigger while holding a gun or a backup gun. Emptying the clip DOES neutralize the threat of someone threatening to kill you.
If the state is going to press charges against you for defending yourself and the thug's family is going to try to sue you even after only the first single shot fired, you might as well make 100% sure you are safe in the heat of the moment with an empty clip.
@GrungeQueef I am ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT certain he is Gerudo.
This lady got laughs for a second there. The anchor should have known something was wrong right away, because women aren't funny.

@n3f_X That cat wasn't about to allow an even bigger pussy in the house.
@Aether Better than her friend -- "The slut, the liar, the useless and single Kelly!"
@Shlomo I wouldn't worry about it. They will all do the same thing -- give one police officer a hard time, and then they'll get tossed in prison for saying bad words. *dusts hands* There you go. The problem goes off the streets.
@TwistedEagle Who did the study?
@LouisConde "You can make a living doing what you want! That's the secret!"
They said this to literally all of us.
It was manipulative propaganda. But they still believe it, and we are waking up bc of the consequences.
Other classics:
"It's easy to get a good job, faithful wife, and a happy family."
"Hand in your resume in person. A firm handshake and look in the eye is all you need." -- Said the people who were hired to manage a refinery with no experience and only had to pass a math test.
@ButtWorldsMan So the Russians now know that literally anything can take these down. And apparently, their planes have some sort of stealth tech the US didn't know about?
I don't know shit. Don't listen to me.
