@Cornelius Without welfare programs in general- If we stopped rewarding fat people and single moms for their failures and lack of self-control, they'd be better off. I'd say without welfare they'd actually be more wealthy and successful.
We'd see less crime, less poverty, less social decay. And the ones who REALLY need it -- society could have absorbed and taken care of in their local communities.
But government wants us ALL on welfare and drugs. And people WANT free shit so they elect them. 🤷🏻♂️

But I believe it is a distraction, or part of a longterm plot. Like you said -- Why would this matter right now? No normal person had this on their radar as a major concern.
