@VooDooMedic I just got a great idea! Thanks!
@VooDooMedic Bad ass! This is similar to the style I want to do for Maya's solo album. My Maya is a string player and kind of a goth girl, lol.
@Scubbie This is certainly interesting. I like how experimental it is. There are ideas in here I could explore, as odd as it is and not-my-style. It's also reminded me of some ideas I had that I can try for some of Irene's songs.
I really, really like this pianist, though. He's easily the highlight for me and if I had to guess, he carries the band and did this group as an outlet for fun.
@Scubbie I'm going with the idea of making two solo albums for the girls. Or at least one to start, with Irene. I have the second song. I reeeeaaally like how it turned out so I'm going to write some more on my next weekday off. These seem to be when I find writing time to put together the ideas in my head.
The song is more representative of the style I usually like to listen to, but that doesn't mean it's the right answer for the project, which, in my mind, I want something that makes sense coming from them as a second release.
That's part of the art -- abandoning good ideas if they just don't fit with the overall project.
Maybe it can just be an Irene solo album. That could be fun!
I'm thinking of doing a sophomore release for Tartan and Velvet.
The first album I really had tons of fun writing in genres I don't usually get to do, and chose songs that still worked well together and made a decent album, imho.
But this time I want to pick a more focused style and give it a test. What do y'all think of this?
Is it TOO much of a departure from their debut album?
@N_Y_SparkyOxCable Have you seen Nikki Minaj with Erika Kirk on TPUSA, where Nikki calls JD Vance (that old pope killer) "the assassin" with a knowing look?
It's insane. She openly claims to be possessed by a demon named Roman. It's almost like Roman was saying it, with how confident, sassy, mocking, deliberate, and arrogant the statement was made. And then it's like she "came back" and realized what he said, because her demeanor changed and was acting embarassed.
@charliebrownau @Zeb TFM is a decent guy. If he doesn't experience direct betrayal and can find common ground, he'll be loyal too. He likely feels he can't be a chooser.
I'll say this (I don't want to say anything that sounds belittling because that's not how I feel) but I disagree with this friendship's "benefit" to TFM.
I don't want to get mushy, either, but I feel like I understand the guy. Maybe, we can just be here for him after it goes sour, and offer him a place to crash on our couch.
@Zeb I'm going to raise my Halsey bashing this year.
Looking forward to another year of Halsey's consistent behaviors of being unreliable on his own Wednesday show, slamming doors with his mic on, using shitty bluetooth where he sounds like he's inside a McDonald's cup, lying, "That's not what I said," ignorance, e-begging, stupid takes and bad advice, and then acting like an arrogant prick because he STILL thinks highly of himself?
@N_Y_SparkyOxCable I feel ya. I nearly said "nigger" like 4 times on Christmas Day around family.
@N_Y_SparkyOxCable She was "brought" to him. The jews there literally use people like cattle. They tried to do the same with Nick Fuentes. They do this with all powerful and influential people. They manipulate people unto their lives to assert control. It's batshit crazy insane.
I don't know shit. Don't listen to me.
