@shortstories
I used mana as a generic word for the essence that fuels magic. It could be life essence in this case, although in real life it's basically energy - the cloak of invisibility is transforming calories into mana to fuel the magical effect. 🧙♂️
@shortstories @Zeb Our mana is called electricity it is our foundation that create this world.
So if you can control electricity you will be able use magic.
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." -Arthur C. Clarke.
@Stahesh It’s definitely more of a mental fear, which is still a physical fear because I learned the illusion of separation between mind and body.
@TenaciousGoat
There's nothing wrong with fear: it's not a disease. It doesn't need cure.
If no one felt fear, humanity would have gone extinct a long time ago.
You simply plow through fear after considering the risks when needed - it exists to protect you and masculinity means dominating it to serve you.
@Dicey @TenaciousGoat Fear is the emotion you feel when you encounter something that you are hopeless or weak against.
Because if you are stronger or equal you will go in to fight or defensive stance to challange something.
But the thing you fear will trigger your flight response so you will survive and live another day. 😇
I can tell you firsthand when I was in college that every deparment that had "underrepresentation for women" constantly pandered and bent over backwards to get them in the door. And we have seen this with hiring policies with diversity quotas, where women get priority just because they are women. This old asshole either does not realize this, or is straight up lying when he says "women don't have any advantages and they are still succeeding!"
