Morning Constitutional Cancelled: September 28th, 2022
I will not be available tomorrow morning for the Morning Constitutional. I will have my laptop with me, and should be able to do the Monkey's Market Minute, but won't have access to my home studio until Friday, which is close enough to Saturday that there is no point pushing the Morning Constitutional out on an off-day, only to do another stream the next day.

Voting is authority, and thus requires responsibility.

@houseoftolstoy capitalism works because of competition, and "creative destruction", which is just economic darwinism.

Welfare works in exactly the opposite way. It subsidizes the economically weak and unfit, even incentivizing people to stop being productive and "game" the system, while burdening the productive with higher taxes, diversity quotas, etc.

At the end of the day, a society that demands it's government be responsible for their welfare is submitting to slavery.

@spectre True, normal people twist reality to fit their emotions, projecting their values as "good" and any oppositional values as "evil".

The problem is unsolvable. All you can do is prepare to repel those who try to use force against you and make an example out of them to dissuade the others.

I'm a fan of impalement spikes personally, but to each their own.

@spectre nobody actually believes in "democracy". People believe in whatever system advances their values.

Democracy TENDS to promote equality, so the Left supports it, but SOMETIMES the people pump the brakes, and then the Left claims that Fascists have taken over and they use whatever tools they have to control the people.

Democracy is just a means. There is no "will of the people". There are only groups with their own values and preferences.

@ze or just say that natural rights apply to everyone whereas privileges (i.e. things that must be provided to you) can't be rights and you have to earn them via demonstrated responsibility (i.e. signing up for the draft at 18 and not being a felon in order to vote).
