5% of whites are criminals, while 30% of blacks are criminals. That's 5X more than whites, but it's still a minority. 70% of blacks are not criminals.

But yeah, the 30% of blacks that are criminals need to fucking go.

@GabeLakmann @FarcryFuhrer If you look at native americans, their IQs are fairly high, in-between whites and hispanics, and far above blacks. However, they have the WORST outcomes in terms of crime, poverty, drug use, etc. of ANY group, including blacks.

Why? Because native americans are the biggest welfare sponges.

I'm not saying IQ isn't a contributing factor, but it's not the main cause, and until IQ, we can actually do something about welfare dependence, so why focus entirely on IQ?

The problem with blacks isn't low IQ, it's welfare dependence and the victim narrative that externalizes the blame for their problems on "slavery" and "white supremacy".

@GabeLakmann There's a sad reason for that.

Because most of Africa was conquered by the British Empire, they rejected capitalism for the most part and embraced Marxism after independence, simply out of spite for the British, which made Africa's poverty all the more tragic and avoidable.

It was Singapore's example of a non-colonial capitalist success that dispelled the myth that capitalism was "evil" and allowed countries like Botswana and Rwanda to rise out of pitiful squalor.

@GabeLakmann Funny you should mention that because African countries like Botswana and Rwanda got tired of eating dirt cookies and gave capitalism a second look and are now growing at breakneck speed.

I support capitalism because it works and aligns with my value of human freedom. Competition is a bitch though I'll admit.

It's easy to externalize blame and avoid responsibility. Everyone does it, but while it makes you feel better, it leaves the problems unaddressed.

Obviously, nobody here on an obscure social media platform has the power to do anything to change what's happening. I'm merely pointing out why it's happening and what needs to be done for anyone interested.

@GabeLakmann the inequality created by capitalism during the "robber barons" era led to the rise of the populist progressives who demanded more equality, which led to the Progressive Era.

This was still during the time of the British Empire, and this gave capitalism a bad reputation because people associated capitalism with colonialism, which still persists to this day although countries like Singapore prove this is a myth.

The answer you want is that everything boils down to race.

Lao Tzu, the Taoist sage advocated for free market capitalism in the Tao Te Ching 2,000 years ago, but it never took off in China for some reason.

In fact, Adam Smith had to prove Capitalism worked before it began to catch on. That's the tragedy of invention. Old habits die hard.

@GabeLakmann Adam Smith details why in his book "An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations" for which he is credited as the father of Capitalism by disproving the fallacies of Mercantilism.

@GabeLakmann Because Europeans started out with more wealth to burn, whereas poorer countries didn't, so socialism fails faster.

The early period of socialism when you're spending other people's money is the "fun" part, and the more money you have to work with, the longer it lasts.

Eventually, you run out of wealth, then you run out of lenders, then you begin printing your way to hyperinflation, then you collapse.
