Far more important than how strict you think you need to be with your kids is first, how well you work with your wife and second, the culture you live in.

Combined, both exert more influence than any show of absolute strength you have. You can fight against these and watch everything be swept away, or you can find a way to harness the power of the waves.

Yeah I saw the DAN stuff. Sure, you can make access control to certain modules real tight, and control it's abilities that way. That's how we do it now.

At a sufficiently advanced level though you're better off teaching it how to hack so that it learns how to bypass access controls and start hoarding zero-day exploits against it's own constraints. We're all in the shit then.

Parenting is difficult. There is no such thing as ruling by absolute decree.

Fear and control are the surest ways to poisoning your relationship through resentment, especially as they get older. And that lands different for boys and girls.

Yeah I thought that might be the case beyond very simple stuff. If you need something that requires design and functions I think you're shit out of luck.

The best you could do is design it yourself and have chatGPT write specific functions that you then put together. At that point it's probably not worth it.

I wrote a powershell backup script that's probably 30 lines, and a bash one that's gotta be at least 100. You're going to have to roll your own if you have custom needs, but I like the other use cases.

I can see myself making use of an AI assistant that handles boilerplate replies to normies and general admin.
