Oh, please. You’ve discovered that a jewish family owns the company. Except kiwifarms isn’t anti-semetic. And josh is a fucking jew.
The reason why they were dropped was already explained: an associate of Liz Fong Jones is a senior network engineer there. It’s fucking bullshit that this happened, but it’s annoying how you guys always have to find some connection to “da jewz” when the more rational and compelling explanation doesn’t involve them.
@UncleIroh In regards to the thought experiment, nobody complains about tyrants when the tyrant is enforcing laws and values you agree with. Pinochet was a dictator who hated communism and employed free market capitalists to reform the Chilean economy and create "the Chilean Miracle".
So while a "decentralized North Korea" sounds like hell, it could end up being like Singapore. It all depends on who is in power, not the style of government.

I enjoyed this episode. Now that it's all dudes, the energy and flow is better.
Highlight was an interesting thought experiment - "Would you rather have the whole World guaranteed to run Federally according to the US Constitution (an Ideal One World Government), OR would you rather a decentralized approach where each country was sovereign but was run like N Korea?"
I do have some admiration for Nigel Farage. He had a concrete objective he wanted to get done, and it actually was achieved. So many other politicians never reach their goals, either due to incompetence or because they only wanted to grift off of those who genuinely want to achieve the goal.
Brexit did not make the UK stop doing many of the same retarded policies that are found in many other EU countries, but Farage did what he set out to do.
This will never not be funny:

@ze Like a pxe boot? I guess so. That would solve the problem of someone trying to mount /boot and stealing your luks key as well as offering the option to backup.
But in addition to whatever solution you use, the closer you can get to The Stateless Laptop the better.
In the airport example, even if you were somehow compelled to open up the OS it wouldn't matter since there would be no data/state kept.
Curently that requires plenty of bash-fu and external storage. Have fun!
Here's an excellent short history on the US energy sector and it's macroeconomic effects: https://nitter.net/max_gagliardi/status/1582097812975591425#m
