@basedbagel There's literally nothing wrong about caring about the validation of your parents, especially if you're on good terms.

As long as I stay away from things like the vax we're on good terms.

I don't cry at funerals or movies so it took me by surprise that I was crying like a bitch uncontrollably.

I didn't even think I cared that much but you learn something new about yourself every day.

@basedbagel it's okay to feel good when you're validated, but don't make that your motivation. Treat external validation as "found money". It's something you don't expect and is a nice "bonus" when it happens.
