are the ballistic missiles the super super fast ones impossible to intercept ? meaning they are essentialy saying they will sink usa boats ? @Tfmonkey @VooDooMedic
@shortstories @dander @VooDooMedic no defense system can defend against hypersonic missiles. They're too fast for a radar to track.
@Tfmonkey @shortstories @VooDooMedic so in other words saonara usa fleet the moment boots touch gaza?
@dander @shortstories @VooDooMedic Perhaps. I'm sure America will nuke whoever is responsible, so they may be some behind-the-scenes conversations to avoid MAD.

might be possible to intercept a hypersonic weapon ... a hypersonic missile is slower during its terminal phase than an ICBM
@shortstories @dander @VooDooMedic yeah, let me get my peer reviewed source that proves missiles can't hit something moving at Mach 5.
@Tfmonkey @dander @VooDooMedic
When I said unproven claims I meant the claims that they can stop the missiles are unproven
That I was posting unproven claims
There is a word limit
I understand why sonar could not track them using sound waves
But light moves faster than the speed of sound
Anyway I do not believe they can be stopped using current technology and the language in those articles is speculative
Going to say they need funding to stop them then fail to develop tech and get rich
@dander @Tfmonkey @VooDooMedic Not sure if Pakistan has hypersonic ballistic missiles. Iran, China, and Russia have a lot of anti ship missiles and have developed them if I myself recall. Though I think only China and Russia have had serious headway into hypersonic missile development.
If Pakistan gets those from either of them though I wouldn't be awfully surprised.
@dander @Tfmonkey @VooDooMedic
Are you talking about hypersonic missiles
TFM used the term hypersonic missiles a lot
He was claiming there is nothing they can do to keep them from hitting a building because they can not be detected soon enough
I do not know about ships
If a very small object was moving maybe the missile could miss it if the missile launcher failed to predict it's future position correctly?
This might happen even if the target did not know missiles were launched at it
