I know you're joking but the reason why people come to these bizarre conclusions is because of the whirlwind of disinformation surrounding weight loss.
Due to peoples love for novelty they try these strange contraptions and fancy pills, instead of doing what's tried and true, until eventually give up and assume it's impossible.
It's truly a sad State of affairs

@basedbagel I would say it's because of the costs related to having a physical location to sell it vs just having it in a random warehouse. That 17 dollar difference is about what one employee makes in one hour.
Another possibility is that they are trying to incentivize people to buy from their online store, probably from the reasons stated above.
