NixOS is suffering from political drama. Lots of people are getting banned, leadership stepping down.

On the surface it is just a cancel culture brouhaha "something-something Nazis are bad mmmkay" type talk.

But on a deeper level it is more sinister because there is a military manufacturer Anduril which funds NixOS and Anduril is run by Palmer Lucky (who got fired from the Facebook goggles team after inventing Oculus Rift), for donating to Trump. And there is someone attempting to harm Anduril. AFAIK Anduril is the only group in the USA that has anti-drone electronic warfare that matches up to Russia

There is a lot to be gained by poisoning the NixOS infrastructure because it does software reproducible builds for the US military. Digitally signing a piece of software as safe for the US military is something Anduril does among other things. That private key can end up signing a poisoned NixOS package as safe. Just like the SolarWinds Orion type hack. Or similar to the recent attempted poisoning of the xz utils software.

I'm not sure who is behind all this. Is it another US military manufacturer inside the USA or something foreign or just a Tower of Babel type inefficiency which balkanized NixOS group from within?
