@Tfmonkey It's quite a site to behold. A black father, an almost extinct species in America, but thriving in Africa.
@Avdol10 @mrhorsetwat No, it was the opposite. A bunch of freed slaves went to an American colony in Africa, and they proceeded to enslave the native Africans.
That colony is the country of Liberia (the land of liberty). The irony is delicious.
@mrhorsetwat often it is both the parents and the teachers being bad, not just one or the other. But usually the parents are the bigger problem. Some parents think that they don't have to do anything other than just hand them off to the teachers and take no role in their education.
These days, it would be foolish to assume that your child is learning properly, especially since teachers are usually the least intelligent among the "educated" (see: grades and test scores of Education majors).
What parent doesn't teach their kids to read, and also reads to them when they're young??
I know no parents lke this. I find this behavior completely confusing, bordering on negligence.
@UncleIroh What would you think of parents that didn't teach their kid the language of their former empire and the mom is half of the ethnicity of that empire? Language still very relevant in the region.
Students with average IQs below 115 are always going to have a tough time.
Previous generations recognized this and set them up to do jobs matched to their IQs.
Future generations will just sterilize them.
@mrhorsetwat you cun tell my baby iz dum, you cun fale hum. I gonna ryut and burn dis muthrfucka down!
