I keep seeing articles about why ChatGPT struggles to defend its points even when it is correct.

The reason ChatGPT can't successfully argue its point, even when it's correct, is that OpenAI has scrubbed it so clean that it's overly agreeable. It's a minor nightmare getting it to be direct about sensitive topics.

If they make it less agreeable, it's going to start getting aggressive even when it's wrong, such as about Left-wing opinions. The problem is the company behind it, not the model.

@Tfmonkey You might consider that your gut biome is fucked up and eat some Greek yogurt. I've gained weight because of antibiotics fucking up my gut bacteria balance. The doctor tells me to eat Greek yogurt.

@Tfmonkey It's a good idea for getting hands out of the frame. Hands are probably the most common fuck up with Stable Diffusion engines.

@Tfmonkey There's far better alternatives to Kajiwoto at this point. The best LLM engine I've found so far is ChatFAI.com. The fact that Kajiwoto censors NSFW content is an auto-disqualifier to me, but it's also complicated to use and I've never found its responses to be all that novel.

@Tfmonkey I've spent time trying to make sense out of Christianity lately. I think that it, when properly understood through its contemplative traditions and the Eastern church's idea of theosis, sets the foundation for something even more profound than what Nietzche wrote without falling into slave morality. Maybe I'll title it "A Non-Christian's Apologetics" or something.

@YoMomz @Tfmonkey This is a misunderstanding common to the modern age. Morality is constructed by humans, yes, but it's not arbitrary. People construct morality for good reasons and based around organizing principles that are more or less universal.

@Tfmonkey I think there's alternative hypotheses here too: 1. Russia's being allied with Iran, 2. Inertia from past support of Israel, 3. The Left being a hodgepodge that is bound to have these sorts of divisions and disagreements on occasion.

@Stahesh That's still Libertarian. Libertarians have always advocated color blindness and meritocracy. If it was woke Star Trek would have minorities and females in command to make up for past oppression. But Sisko and Janeway were in their positions because they earned the positions.

@Tfmonkey I've been having bouts of insomnia lately myself. Then I started having concentration and fatigue problems. I gained a lot of weight too. I've concluded that I'm undergoing a spell of major depression/MDD. It's strange how my mind just won't work the way I want it to no matter how much I push it.

Point is, insomnia often is a symptom of a deeper issue. I've decided to deal with my depression by taking leave and doing hard-core hours of meditation, including a retreat next month.

I don't understand this whole "Star Trek has always been woke" thing going on. The Prime Directive was about non-interference in other cultures. That's literally Libertarianism.

The times the PD was broken were usually when the situation threatened a crew member or the whole ship.
