The user can make his app a Delegate for selected authors/media (similar to a seeder on torrents).

This doesn't help your cause; the simplest razor I've found is might makes right. Our society tries to deny this principle or interfere with it's execution. But it's everlasting. The mighty will impose their ideas on the environment.
