@Bad_Banner American "conservative" figures are bourgeois business owners and entrepreneurs. The idea of actually truly caring about culture is foreign to them unless they can make money off of it. And the ones that come from socially conservative backgrounds often have a culture of iconoclasm that isn't really conducive to artistic endeavors.
