Peate and bog soil is often used to fertilize tobacco fields, and it’s high in radioactive alpha/beta decay that causes issues because of sticking around in the lungs along with additives being carcinogeni. Fact is burning plants makes some carcinogenic stuff, and fermenting tobacco does the same. So unless they’re protective offsets it’s going to cause something even if grown and cured in the safest way possible.
