@RodrickSage metabolism "speed" is nonsense. it's all calories in, calories out. what type of calories then only dictates how healthy you'll be. if you want to lose weight, lower your fat and sugar intake and get in some exercise. protein is neutral. sugar destroys your satiety sensitivity, so avoiding it is best way to not overeat. but even on keto/carnivore, you can eat too much calories from fat, so always be aware of what you are eating. also, eating if you are NOT hungry ensure less intake.

@marlathetourist the thing is, once you're in that position of husbando. you kinda have to act that role because that is the expectation. it's fucked up but it's his identity and he's just playing the role, even if he might disagree with it. that's what self-entrapment looks like and why going your own way(not necessarily disengaging but merely doing what YOU want and desire) is so hard. it's all social conditioning essentially.

today it hit me that majority of population are doing low-skilled jobs, making them low-skilled labour, making them low-skilled people. it is nothing new but it is not something i think about often. and it is not bad. society needs the "meat" in the middle to make it work. but i guess me being from tech background and me considering myself above in intelligence, i forget how the most of the world actually looks like and that most people i interact with are on close level to mine, not the society

@marlathetourist iran is about to sign a security deal with russia that has been in the works for years. there is no way anyone will attack iran after that. not to mention, china is near by and won't allow anything threatening their belt and road project with southern path going through iran into turkey and eu. plus conflict in region would kill the whole european industry production, which is already collapsing as it is. no need for 100$ oil.
