A buddy of mine said he was at his job and saw a huge fireball shoot up -- the biggest flame he had ever seen and been that close to -- and he thought it was a nuke.

So you may be hearing of a huge chemical plant fire in the cities just outside Houston.

No report of an explosion from him, just a blazing fire. My ex sent me a photo (she's about 20 minutes from there) and the sky was as bright as early evening (It was 9:30pm and it looked like maybe 6pm Daylight Savings).

@marlathetourist That's the exact strainer I bought st HEB too, lol. And his advice on 2:1 ratio for rice is perfect. Don't listen to professionals who can make rice with 1:1 water to rice. It never works for normal people. Always at least 50% more water. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to check out this guy's channel.

@marlathetourist "Thermos" sells short insulated cups that double as bowls, & comes with a folding spoon. I have several of those inside my packs.

And as TFM mentioned before, uninsulated tall metal cups, attached with a clip. Convert one into a desalinator. Great for making coffee inside, too, if you don't have a pot. But I bought one of these cloth reusable filters for my coffee like Grandpa used. If caffeine is vital for you, I'd say have one of these in a pack with your filtered water jugs.

I haven't spoken with Amanda, my assistant, in 10 years.
