I was listening to an Academic Agent stream about why the UK Reform party failed and he blames "the Eternal Boomer" who has a NIMBY (not in my back yard) attitude, but otherwise doesn't care about what happens to society.

The Boomers are overwhelmingly women at this point (male life expectancy being what it is).
The "eternal boomer" is just an old women who wants to be taken care of and is morally retarded. Women have NEVER given a shit about abstractions like "order".
@Tfmonkey @charliebrownau I've heard some people say that despite everything, boomers are still one of the most reliable 'right wing' voting blocks, especially the white/male boomers. what are your thoughts on this? Once the boomers go and we're all better for it, will the right wing lose such a major voting base in the boomers and thus lose any hope of voting our problems away ever again? Or is this (as I personally think) a cope to posit that voting will solve anything.
@Ness2000 @charliebrownau the male boomers are largely dead. The female boomers don't care about society. They only care about their welfare and what benefits them personally.
@Tfmonkey Big facts. That neighbor here who had a crush on me until she heard I don't like fat chicks and "the Jew thing" admitted the same thing when we used to talk regularly. She did not care about philosophy or the "whys" of things. No interest in history or the state of the world that doesn't affect her personally. And my ex has strong opinions on things she doesn't care to learn about even if she's wrong.
Big fan of AA's analysis here. He doesn't explicitly make the claim that the BoomerCon vote is majority women, but I agree that it must necessarily split that way demographically.
His view is basically accelerationist. He wanted the voting public to hand Labour such an enormous victory that:
1. Conservatives would be destroyed forever
2. Labour would have no room to blame anyone else when they inevitably fuck up.
3. The kayfabe of British uniparty politics is destroyed forever.
@Tfmonkey I'll take a look at that tonight. A lot of people who voted for Brexit were boomers. Most of the Reform party members are boomers. If it is single women and foreigners voting Labour, that would make more sense.
