@Heil_Honkler @redmaple You wouldn't happen to have the webm that was mentioned in the post, would you? No big deal if not, it is just nice to have a point of reference.
@redmaple You are not. I know guys who are basically MGTOW but never have used the acronym, likely do not label themselves as such, and maybe never even heard of the term. But still, they do not desire marriage or family, whether they understand marriage to be a risky prospect or just do not see the motivation to be married and have a family.
Mgtow is only a recent label. We have had bachelors throughout all of history (or functional ones such as monks). This is hardly a new phenomenon.
@LukeAlmighty @furgar Am I misunderstanding you when you said they "don't understand the concept of proper communication?" It sounded like you were accusing them of not knowing how to do it properly. Maybe you meant they have no desire to do it properly or value others enough to be straightforward with them.
@LukeAlmighty @furgar I don't think that the "up to" language is due to a lack of understanding of how to communicate, but rather a deliberate obfuscation to cover for the fact that they do not want to pay you as much as advertised. They think themselves clever by saying, "Oh, we did not mean you would get a $75,000 right away!"
Death is always inevitable, and it should always be understood as such. The songs of Ring around the Rosie and Rock-a-Bye baby were rather lighthearted about the idea (a baby falling from a tree could indeed be deadly). But today, if you have one person die, people think the whole world should stop to try to prevent that.
But what if, just think for a moment, they were going to die and there was nothing that could be done to prevent it? Should we panic over what we will never be able to stop?
With all the mantra of "if it will save just one life," it shows that way too many people are afraid of death. To the point that they think that it must be mitigated at all cost (though with many of the same people abortion is apparently a-okay).
It reminds me of a Shadiveristy video where he mentioned children's songs being rather morbid, showing that the attitude about death has not always been one that is in constant distress. People way back accepted death far better than we do today.
@furgar Nothing is stopping this guy from going and trying out this lifestyle. Sure, when you can find food and have everything else go well, that life can be satisfying. But something tells me this man and many others would not want the rest of the package deal when some adverse event happens (such as bad weather or a leg injury).
@basedbagel Maybe. I cannot say that for sure. Given that the vaxx has only been out for a few years, the children in that age range who would be potentially affected would not be raising any alarms by getting sick a lot. Babies/toddlers get sick a lot because their immune systems are still not nearly as well developed as adults are.
So a young child getting sick a lot alone is not a red flag. But heart attacks and blood clots sure are.
@WashedOutGundamPilot My going theory with the non-stop pro-Ukraine propaganda is that it keeps the general public from being outraged over how much money we are throwing over there.
"It's not a waste of money because Ukraine is winning! They are a sacred democracy fighting against the evil Putler! If you don't love Zelensky you are an evil fascist!"
@merchantHelios I don't hate to break it to her, but her personality is just as bad as she accuses the guy's of being. And she way over estimates how many cute girls there are, considering obesity rates. You are not attractive if you are fat, and the left graph in no way accounts for that factor.
And she is majorly projecting about how guys think. Most men are happy with women who would be at their level. But she projects how women view men onto them.
Give her 10 years, she will be miserable.
@WashedOutGundamPilot Wow, the image got blurry when I posted it. Sorry about that.
Looks like this will be my new home. Warning: I (probably) have Asperger's, so my be prepared for my autism to show through.
I don't think I am a right wing extremist, but I am sure anyone with low testosterone might think otherwise.
