Death is always inevitable, and it should always be understood as such. The songs of Ring around the Rosie and Rock-a-Bye baby were rather lighthearted about the idea (a baby falling from a tree could indeed be deadly). But today, if you have one person die, people think the whole world should stop to try to prevent that.
But what if, just think for a moment, they were going to die and there was nothing that could be done to prevent it? Should we panic over what we will never be able to stop?
With all the mantra of "if it will save just one life," it shows that way too many people are afraid of death. To the point that they think that it must be mitigated at all cost (though with many of the same people abortion is apparently a-okay).
It reminds me of a Shadiveristy video where he mentioned children's songs being rather morbid, showing that the attitude about death has not always been one that is in constant distress. People way back accepted death far better than we do today.
@furgar Nothing is stopping this guy from going and trying out this lifestyle. Sure, when you can find food and have everything else go well, that life can be satisfying. But something tells me this man and many others would not want the rest of the package deal when some adverse event happens (such as bad weather or a leg injury).
@basedbagel Maybe. I cannot say that for sure. Given that the vaxx has only been out for a few years, the children in that age range who would be potentially affected would not be raising any alarms by getting sick a lot. Babies/toddlers get sick a lot because their immune systems are still not nearly as well developed as adults are.
So a young child getting sick a lot alone is not a red flag. But heart attacks and blood clots sure are.
@WashedOutGundamPilot My going theory with the non-stop pro-Ukraine propaganda is that it keeps the general public from being outraged over how much money we are throwing over there.
"It's not a waste of money because Ukraine is winning! They are a sacred democracy fighting against the evil Putler! If you don't love Zelensky you are an evil fascist!"
@merchantHelios I don't hate to break it to her, but her personality is just as bad as she accuses the guy's of being. And she way over estimates how many cute girls there are, considering obesity rates. You are not attractive if you are fat, and the left graph in no way accounts for that factor.
And she is majorly projecting about how guys think. Most men are happy with women who would be at their level. But she projects how women view men onto them.
Give her 10 years, she will be miserable.
@WashedOutGundamPilot Wow, the image got blurry when I posted it. Sorry about that.
@Pantangelini @furgar That article you linked, boy, what bunch of shit.
Gee, I wonder why some the unvaxxed might have some animosity towards the vaxxed. Might not be because of shit like this, right? Even the author admits that stats show that the vaxxed are more likely to have animosity towards the vaxx than the other way around.
Considering what the vaxxed wanted for the unvaxxed, the unvaxxed are showing quite a lot of restraint.
https://www.dw.com/en/japans-kishida-vows-to-raise-birthrate/a-64484926
>Despite Japan's attempts in recent years to encourage people to have more children — including promises of financial bonuses and better benefits — birthrates in the country have been in continuous decline for 14 years.
It's almost like coaxing and bribing policies don't bring up birth rates. Let's just try to do it harder! That will surely work! And when the fertility rate goes up by .1, we will cheer and celebrate.
@Tfmonkey Some thoughts I had with your theory on the natural gas price being manipulated. I think there is a connection with that and the government floating a ban on gas stoves. That might just be a tell that they are indeed manipulating the market, and they are looking for ways to prevent more use of gas. Sure, there was no ban yet, but they are hoping to scare people from even buying a gas stove or to get rid of their existing one.
Not saying this is going to help, but it's the government.
@furgar This happened to me. Had my wallet in my back pocket, not knowing it was causing imbalances. I only noticed the imbalances once it started to hurt like hell when I was doing heavy deadlifts. The physical therapist asked me if I put my wallet in my back pocket, and sure enough, that was the ticket. Caused my sciatic nerve to be pinched, which hurt more than it actually caused real damage.
Now I can lift even heavier without those problems, though try to stretch more often beforehand.
Looks like this will be my new home. Warning: I (probably) have Asperger's, so my be prepared for my autism to show through.
I don't think I am a right wing extremist, but I am sure anyone with low testosterone might think otherwise.
