There is a tribal identity when it comes to certain ethnicity. I do recall Jeb Bush's wife getting mocked. However, it is not the same ethnic hatred that is leveled at Vance, for his wife.
I recall that Vivek was never known as a Republican contender but rather, "the Indian guy". We never refer to Trump as "the German guy". Disdain for Indians is visceral and accepted as norm. Only with the Indians, it seems.
