The political, religious, corporate & academic institutions start with the presumption that history is what the news media said in the past

They set their policies based on what they say is best for society as justified by the news media

The words trickle down from the media on top to those other institutions to the police and military that enforce the policies out of blind faith

Media is the top ruler

Freedom starts with a loss of blind faith in the media which trickles down to a loss of blind faith in the institutions that set their policies based on the medias narrative

If a high enough % of the people who would normally obey that person choose to no longer obey them & are willing to use defensive force to protect the autonomy of those who do not want to fall under that person's rule then they no longer can rule
